No April MPFS Update

Typically, CMS uses the mid-year updates to refine the fee schedule. Examples of the type of revisions include changes to status indicators, tweaks to relative value units, or modifications to certain payment policies such as applicable modifiers.

Additionally, Congress has delayed the negative 21.5 percent update to the conversion factor until after May 31. If Congress takes no further action to prevent the negative update, claims with a date of service June 1 or later will be reimbursed at the lower payment rate.
